Upright Management has been engaged by Tweed Shire Council to provide Project Management
services for the entire program of infrastructure works at the Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre
(SCRRC). Our engagement commenced at master plan stage, and included working with Council from
concept design, budget establishment, planning approval, design, tendering and delivery of the
various projects included within the program.
This critical infrastructure program of works is to provide waste services to the Tweed’s current
population of approximately 92,000. The population is estimated to reach more than 128,000 by
2031.
Tweed Shire Council currently generates 40,500 tonnes of household waste per annum of which
approximately 13,000 tonnes is green waste including food waste.
The following projects are to be included within the program of works:

Organics processing facility infrastructure,

Refurbishment of the existing weighbridge infrastructure,

New site offices and amenities for onsite staff and visitors,

New transfer station infrastructure for waste and recyclable materials,

Replacement / relocation and expansion of the primary leachate pond,

Upgrading of stormwater infrastructure and dams,

New road infrastructure throughout the site,

Construction of the final landfill cell at the SCRRC,
-
The access road from the SCRRC to the new Eviron Site,
-
The new Eviron Road Landfill cell in the closed Quirks Quarry.
